About Hilton Head

There's Just One Word about Hilton Head Island... Awesome.

The Island provides a blend of spectacular natural beauty, sparkling waters and super beaches to ride bikes and run on, marshes with oyster beds and trees, trees, trees. Did we say trees? The manicured greenery shows off Hilton Head Island’s gently swaying palmetto trees, live oaks dripping with Spanish moss and towering pine trees, all throughout this Island bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. There are 80 miles of bike and jogging pathways, much of it shaded by those magnificent trees.

This 12-mile Island is unlike most other vacation destinations, free of neon signs, billboards or high buildings and loaded with history. From the first Indian settlers 4,000 years ago to Spanish and French explorers in the 16th century to the Gullah descendants of former slaves, to loads of people from Ohio now, history is always being made here and is preserved in many museums and tours.

Hilton Head is just a super family experience…breathtaking beaches, beautiful scenery and great times at Broad Creek Marina Adventures, from our zip line to all our other land and water adventures. And then there’s the really good food at our Up the Creek Pub & Grill, chosen by “Southern Living Weekends” magazine in 2011 as one of four restaurants to visit. Drink UP! and chow down overlooking Broad Creek Marina, the boats, the marshes and the zip line action.
